Commissioned by Sheffield DocFest in 2022, Seeking Stillness is a response to a filmmaking challenge run by the festival and lead by Academy Award, BAFTA and Grammy-winning director Asif Kapadia. Under Kapadia’s guidance, six emerging, British filmmakers were tasked with making a short film in Sheffield during the festival.

Seeking Stillness explores the tension between the demands of modern life and a desire to maintain connection with the natural world.
